The Vice President of administration and scholarship cabinet

The scholarship chairman serves as an ex-officio member of the scholarship board.  He is working with the Vice President of Administration and Scholarship as well as the scholarship chairmen from the council to develop a new scholarship plan.  He is also working with the VP of Administration and Scholarship and other councils to organize the Greek study space.  Also among his other responsibilities, the scholarship chairman works to organize events for "Month of the Scholar" in October, as well as the Breakfast of Champions prior to finals week each semester.

The Intramural Chair I works hand in hand with the intramural offices and the 17 intramural chairs to oversee intramurals for all of IFC.  He has the responsibilities of caculating all the stats from all the games and compilying them into the overall standings which then make up the winner of the All Sport Champion.

"The New Member Development Chairman, along with the Panhellenic Vice President of New Member Development work in advising the New Member Greek Council which is made up of nine Greek men and women who are new members of their fraternities and sororities.  The purpose of New Member Greek Council is to get younger members of IFC and Panhellenic chapters involved in leadership positions in the councils.  Previous members of New Member Greek Council have gone on to be executives on IFC and Panhel, chapter presidents, as well as many other leadership positions on campus.  New Member Greek Council works at setting up programs, such as New Member Greek Week, for incoming members of fraternities and sororities.  The New Member Development Chairman also works on the Go Greek Team, talking to incoming freshmen about Greek life each summer."

The IFC Marketing Chairman handles a number of the Public Relations issues of the council such as writing regular updates on IFC news.  The chair is responsible for all IFC publications including media kits, website management, news releases, newsletters and is a contact for the editor of The Gavel BGSU's Greek on-campus publication.

The Rick Manager for IFC is a resource for chapters on Risk Management issues and policies.  He works with the Panhellenic Vice President of Standars to plan Party Smart each fall, which is an event intended to show people safe and responsible ways to have fun.  He also works with the group Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA).

The community Service Chairman helps organize council wide community service projects.  He is also responsible for keeping chapter community service chairs aware of projects which the council is working on.  The IFC community service chairman holds round table meetings to go over new service ideas and opportunities. 

 

Philanthropy Chair: Chris Schiazza  Email:  cschiaz@bgsu.edu

The philanthropy chairman organizes the Interfraternity Council philanthropic events throughout the year.  He also holds meetings with the philanthropy chairs from other IFC fraternities, and is responsible for keeping an up to date list of Greek philanthropies going on throughout the semester.
